Everyone deserves the opportunity to get a good education and then let that education be the foundation of a better life. Education does not necessarily change who you are, but enhances everything about you and allows you to become the person you really want to be.
Originally from the San Antonio, Texas area, I moved to North Carolina in 1983. I enrolled at HCC in 1987 and graduated with an Associate in Applied Science degree in 1990. I have 4 sons and 6 grandchildren (3 boy/3 girls). I enjoy reading mysteries, sewing and scrapbooking. I love watching professional football (4 sons) and I'm hooked on the various crime programs on television.
My most important accomplishment in life has been to raise 4 boys of whom I am extremely proud.
My favorite quote: "When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me." ~Erma Bombeck

I have been an Administrative Assistant at HCC since September 4, 1990. Other jobs I have had over the years include Office Manager, Bookkeeper, Waitress, and Bartender.
